The Plateau Environmental Protection and Sanitation Agency (PEPSA) has scheduled its routine Monthly General Sanitation Exercise for Saturday, 30th May, 2026, as part of efforts to maintain a cleaner and healthier environment across the State.

The Agency called on residents to actively participate in the exercise by cleaning their homes, surroundings, drainages, and public spaces in line with environmental sanitation guidelines. Movement restriction will be enforced during the approved sanitation hours.
PEPSA also urged communities to build on the sanitation and desiltation activities previously carried out by the Agency in several areas, especially by ensuring the clearing of blocked drainages, waterways, and culverts as rainfall increases across the State.
According to the Agency, proactive environmental sanitation remains critical in preventing flooding, reducing pollution, and safeguarding public health during the rainy season.
The Director General of PEPSA, Samuel Nathaniel Dapiya, stated that officials of the Agency would be deployed to various communities across Plateau State to monitor compliance and supervise the exercise.
He appreciated residents for their support and cooperation, noting that environmental cleanliness and sustainability require collective commitment from all citizens.
