Plateau State Commissioner for Agriculture Inspects Tractor Supply at PADP Headquarters

Jos, Plateau State – The Honourable Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development , Plateau State, Mr. Samson Ishaku Bugama, has conducted an inspection visit to the Plateau Agricultural Development Program (PADP) State Headquarters in Jos to assess the tractors being supplied through the state’s strategic partnership with Ritseh Integrated Resources Nig Ltd.

Addressing journalists after the inspection, the commissioner described the initiative as a significant step towards enhancing agricultural mechanization in Plateau State. He stated that with a target of deploying 200 tractors, the government aims to improve farmers’ access to modern farming equipment, boost productivity, and increase overall food production.

Providing further updates on the ministry’s initiatives, he reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to transforming the agricultural sector and ensuring food security in the state. He noted that strategic collaborations and investments in mechanization remain key to empowering farmers, strengthening the agricultural value chain, and driving sustainable agricultural development.

As the Plateau State government continues to roll out agricultural reforms, stakeholders express optimism that these initiatives will not only improve food production but also create employment opportunities and enhance the state’s economic resilience.
